    How to Explain Like That?!!

You know how some people blog about and put up pics of their kids?

I wonder if they ever ask their kids whether they mind?
I mean... Kids are people too, right?!
Just because the adult think he has control over his own children, doesn't mean he can do anything with them, right?

Somehow... Those thoughts lead to the following:
    If I have a kid...
    I mean... IF lah!!
How to explain to him about my blog?

    MyKid: Erm... Mummy?
    BM: Har?
    MyKid: I is curious.
    BM: Wrong. I AM curious.
    MyKid: No! I IS curious.
    BM: No. I AM curious.
MyKid: I saw it on your blog. I think 'I IS' is correct.
BM: Erm... That's just a way of expressing oneself.
    MyKid: I is expressing myself.
BM: Whatever. Just don't write like that in school.
MyKid: Orh. *pauses* So, Mummy? I is curious.
BM: (in the mind) Nabeh. (to him) Curious about what?
MyKid: What is a 'Good Fren'?
BM: Erm... (in the mind) Shite! Siao liao! (very calmly to him) What 'Good Fren'?
MyKid: You know... the 'Good Fren' you kept talking about in your blog?
BM: Oh... That one ah... He's a very good friend of mine back then lor.
    MyKid: Orh... Mummy?
BM: Har? Why are you asking so many questions today?
    MyKid: I is curious.
BM: Ok, I is busy now. Please go play with Blinky and Tiger.
MyKid: Orrrrrrrhhh!! You also say 'I IS'!!! Nay Nay Nee Boo Boo!!
BM: HAHA!! Very funny. Go and play with Blinky and Tiger.
    MyKid: I dun wan.
    BM: Why?
    MyKid: I is allergic.

    I is crazy. =))
    HO HO HO!!!

    Wait!! Wait!!
And sekali I have a daughter.

    MyKid: Erm... Mummy?
    BM: Har?
    MyKid: I is curious.
    BM: Wrong. I AM curious.
    MyKid: No! I IS curious.
    BM: No. I AM curious.
MyKid: I saw it on your blog. I think 'I IS' is correct.
BM: Did you read about that part where I said I hated girls?
MyKid: *runs away crying* MY MUMMY HATES ME!!!

    Heh heh heh...
    I is EVIL!!! =P

BM ==> LOFL, If you and GF get married, your children will have 1/2 the chance of been allergic to Blinky and Tiger.

Maybe by then, Blinky and Tiger will have children (repspectively) of their own and your kids are playing with them instead.

    Hahah.

try to imagine constantly stopping your children from eating the furball of Blinky and Tiger. Muahahahahah.

I is Number 2 commentor for this entry.

I don't get how Singaporeans can be:
    1) UNCREATIVE (copy-cats/fellowers of western culture but at the same time want to be so creative and special that they create their own *NEW* language like i IS something, oredi, etc.) and ABUSE other language.
    2) so BORED by taking pictures of food and your trip and little shit things, i.e your everyday shits. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy reading some of your blogs like social subjects or some knowledgeable ones but not the uesless ones though. I just wonder if you are so conscious or care about your society/system, why don't you just stop sitting on your ass writing some uselss/time-wasting blogs(but please do continue writing some good ones though) and start actually involving on some things that you can really make a small change to your society. Don't just be busy taking what piece of shits you eat on every dine-out-meal.
    3) SUPERFICIAL and hungry of ATTENTION: I just found out that so many singaporeans are blogging nowadays(one follows another, they must not be outdated with popular things like this, it's same as fashion, if this style is getting popular, one feels a need to go purchase that style and wear it. I always don't get this. Well, some blog for other purposes like extending social cycles. Therefore, blogging is just a tool for them to get what they want instead of "Why do i blog? I just want my voice to be heard since I was young...with my important views/thoughts of what I ate today?" LOL

Extension of #3) Trying/pretending/competing to be cute and innocent. I think we should start having a new category in Academy Awards of "Cutest and Most Innocent person Award". Grow Up!

Side Note: Don't get me wrong! I'm not criticizing Blinkymummy...in fact, I do enjoy reading some of Blinkymummy blogs. I find them interesting. And I think you have good blogs compared to some other boring bloggers. I am just trying to make my voice heard. *Uhmm uhm*

warm stranger: you have a funny way of criticisizing BM whilst actually not criticizing her. Grow some balls. You want to criticize, no need to make excuses. Nabeh.

    Warm Stranger said...

As I have mentioned, I actually like some of BM's blogs. That's why I sometimes spent my time reading some of her blogs!! Why or what would I be afraid of criticizing BM if I want to? As I made my point clear, I just want to make some comments about my views/thoughts that came across my mind about *some* singaporeans. From my experience, they can be so superficial and materialistic. But while on net, pretending to be so innocent and decent and nice.
Actually, if BM is what she is according to her blog, she can be an exception from one of those singaporeans I mentioned.

I just find it funny how people can write things that do not actually reflect their original thoughts. They are just fabrications mostly. They are just tools to get some things back (To be cute? Attention? Trying to look smart? Trying to get more friends? To gain popularity?) How hideous and elusive people have become! Using language or words as tools to trying to gain some benefits?
I am not against at blogging at all. Just sharing my thoughts of what I think/realize about people from THIS blog society.

I do agree with warm stranger's observations and I don't think there is a need to get defensive.

Blogging is a narcissitic exercise. Sometimes, it does expose the shallow depth of the writer no matter how much the author tries to mask it, though some do it pretty well. The blogging medium is a PR device and if managed well, can be used to shape opinions and perceptions, especially about the public persona.

I don't think warm stranger is making an oblique criticism of bm, but making his point of his/her general impression of local online text logs.

Disclaimer: I do not know who "warm stranger" is. Thoughts expressed are my own.

I might have confused as to what my observation is to some. Let me put it this way. From my observation, people are dying to be some sort of celebrity. Blogging makes/enables them feel like one(letting the world knows and sees what they are doing every minute of their lives? Pictures of their meals/dishes/clothes/materials/trips/friends explain it all, etc...) or commenting uniquely about some issues so that they would stand out from the rest of the crowd and be a celebrity. Being such celebrities makes them feel special and good. Therefore, sometimes, they may write things that illude to others or even to themselves unconsciously. I don't see many modest/innocent people out in the real world. But when I read the blogs, they make me feel like they are so innocent and modest and nice and not shallow. Anyway, that's my main point.

    Lupin Tan said...

warm stranger ==> Nobody is saying you are wrong. Anyway this is the internet. It's up to the individual for their own presentation of oneself. There's no need to keep emphasizing, it people get it, they will, it not too bad.

lolx.. mayb if u try clicking "next blog" button on the toolbar u will find more purposes of people doing blog, other than juz people tryin to b celeb =)

budden again, the author's purpose on the other hand mite be interpreted by another reader as another purpose. so it doesnt matter la. its juz a recording of personal interest/topic mahx..

eh? warm stranger u juz started ur blog ar? have fun with it ^^ the url is cute orange88 =)
