    Tomorrow.Sg Hates Blinkymummy!!!

    FWAH!!!
Some people have been emailing to tell me that they have not been able to get Blinkymummy's entries Tomorrowed.

    Hmmm....
So I tried to do it. Just to test mah!!
    REALLY CANNOT LEH!!!

    Why like that ah?
Maybe because I have written sensitive entries which hit major raw nerves and open wounds of a few Tomorrow Editors before ah?

I was Tomorrowed many times before.
Perhaps back then, I was still perceived as the harmless, crazy, uniform-wearing female blogger, who was willing to take picture with anybody, make middle-age men happy with my presence, and report on Plaza Singapura fires!!

Then I started to lash out at bloggers who blog with hits-accumulation/popularity in mind, and no regard for anything else.
And of course, the XX and gang Hate Site incident, where Tomorrow.Sg refused to put up the entry properly and many others could only post related entries as trackbacks.

    Oh Come On!!!
What ever happened to Freedom of Speech?!!

    Like that correct lor...
Always kpkb about the Government not giving Freedom of Speech and being Elitist.

The Tomorrow team is precisely practising what they have been preaching against.

Being highly selective about who they wanna give exposure to.
It's about who they like, and who they dun like lor.
Then EXPRAINING that it's because their policy is NO POLICY.

    What levelled playing field?!!
    Level Kee Lan!!!

    Heh Heh Heh...

Actually, I'm glad this is happening.

Power, in whatever form, however minute, corrupts in every single sense of the word you can think of, not just in terms of money.

Because at the end of the day, 人是小器的.
Can criticise other people, but other people cannot criticise them.

People put on orchestrated personas all the time.
For others to love and adore.
Just that, some are smarter about it than others.
And of course, some people are more honest about their preferences, than others lah!

If such personal preferences are merely a universal truth, then just admit it lor!! No need to act virgin/saint right?!

    Angry Meh?!!
    Dun angry lah...
If you is not guilty of being Blogging Beasts, Clique-ish or Cyber-Heros-but-Flesh-Losers, then what's there to be angry about?!

    Of course, You must EXPRAIN!!!
    EXPRAIN WHY LIKE THAT!!
EXPRAIN why Blinkymummy, with all her pics, vids and extreme thoughts, is not a Darling of Tomorrow.Sg anymore?!!!

    HO HO HO!!!

    =)))

They also say want to explain the inexplicable removal of trackbacks about that *last* incident with the hate site too. But they never did even when the facts were staring them in the face.

Then they slowly moved on and pretended it never happened.

You are right - power corrupts absolutely.

Btw, if you want to wait for them to exprain to you, it's gonna be a while. Bring some beer. ;)

Er, BM, just forget it lah, it very tiring to get you posted in Tomorrow this days, and the entries say allowed are getting boring too.

i guess that's the spirit and attitude we like to see in the Tomorrow.Sg editors and for the matter in all media people.

has it ever crossed your mind that the entries that were submitted just weren't interesting to the editors? ;)

Tomorrow? WTF! u r doing fine so why would u wanna be associated with them?

'Level kee lan"....wow! as a contractor, I don't even use such terms!

    garycsy said...

i dun think they held personal grudges against u lah. But their agenda is questionable.

There was this victim of a renovation scam that started a blog to expose the contractors and asking for more victim to come together so they can get the police to start investigations. He submitted his blog posting to Tomorrow.sg and I did again but it was not published. This is a geniune case that need publicity and all the help he can get but was rejected. Those that are published are of ranting and rave about lovelife, sponsorship and government policies...

Don't worry, the blogging community is more reactive than the general populance. A corrupted system that only favours fans of a certain "blogging queen" will be their downfall.

Oh man, I'm just very tickled by this. Really there's no guessing as to why such thing happens, there's not a real "freedom of speech" action is there? It's more of a "it's freedom of speech as long as the speech fits my liking, so if you're taller and prettier than me, so forget it, and also the other male editors cannot do anything about it because I'm miss popular now!! I write bad blogs that everyone's reading! Yay! Also, I'm really just a plain girl with too much make up on!"

Ok so, I don't quite like one of the editors there. So shoot me.

lol... thanks for the joke of the day!

I mean.. how can something that will interest the majority of the people ever be interesting to the editors right? The latter must be from a whole different planet altogether - the one with "Editorial Integrity". Reminds me of the NKF... "Peanuts"...

maybe you don't understand the meaning of freedom of speech?

think of it this way. You are absolutely free to say whatever you want on your blog. no one is stopping you. Not Tomorrow.SG nor any of the editors there.

    BUT

we are under no obligation to publish anything you submit. Freedom of speech doesn't mean we have to make use of our resources to help publicise what you say.

Here's an analogy. You can say whatever you want in your house, its entirely your right, because its your house. You can even say whatever you want wherever you are, subject to whatever laws operate in the public. But I highly doubt you can claim that its your right to freedom of speech to force someone to drive you around in a lorry and give you a microphone to say what you want to the public.

Freedom of speech does not require a positive act by others to help your speech. It only requires other people not to stop you from saying what you want.

    This is ridiculous.

    1) I personally haven't seen your posts on the moderation queue for a long time. Granted, I don't view it every day but still.

    2) We have no obligation to publish what you post. Or what anyone posts for that matter. In fact most of us are less likely to publish something if the blog owner has been Tomorrow-ed before.

    3) No Tomorrow editor has veto power over publishing posts. So unless you're saying all of us are involved in some Vast Conspiracy, your conspiracy theory falls to bits; we are not a homogeneous whole, with people we all like and people we all dislike. So even if everyone dislikes one blogger, if 2 people click "publish", it will go through. If anything, we have many more disagreements than people think.

    4) What one or even a few editors does does not equate to Tomorrow.sg doing something.

    5) Freedom of speech /= We publish everything and anything. If not why have editors in the first place? And the site as a whole does not "kpkb about the Government not giving Freedom of Speech and being Elitist" though individuals may.

    6) You want freedom of speech but you moderate your comments box?

    7) What levelled playing field? Indeed. What level playing field?!

    8) We publish criticism. Indeed, we have a category dedicated to it. http://tomorrow.sg/opinions

    9) "人是小器的" - People are small machines? I think you meant "petty".

    10) Brazenly insulting/challenging editors is not the best way to get your post published. And then you wonder why things don't get published.

    11) What shianux said.

    12) how can something that will interest the majority of the people ever be interesting to the editors right? The latter must be from a whole different planet altogether - the one with "Editorial Integrity".
Something that interests the majority - like? And unfortunately since the last incident, despite what individual editors may like or say, "Editorial Integrity" is not a common site policy.

even blogs that can be subjected to sedition act also publish (like that ahbunehneh incident

I wonder why every now and then you would write about this, the other time was about hate mail or hate site you have, etc. I mean, I dont always agree with what you write, but not everyone will necessary like what you write or want to post what you write. I think your blog is interesting, just dont sweat the small stuff. ~sunshinepal

tomorrow.sg is just a bunch of misguided fools giving themsleves self important titles to ostensibly serve the "Singaporean blogging community". what have they done so far? nothing. they're just New York Times wannabes gone wrong and have ended up like the online version of The New Paper.
that ".sg" tag is egregious enough. and look at the condescension oozing from shianux and tinkertailor just further confirms their self serving agenda.
theres no need to seek validation from that bunch of retards. time will be the judge

I agree that many of the articles published on tomorrow.sg nowadays are mostly mindless psychobabble.

so it surprises me why your entries, so often the pseudo-intellectual drivel we've grown accustomed to, are not tomorrowed more often, especially since it seems to fit the general demographic of most of tomorrow's choice entries.

    Anonymous said...

tomorrow.sg may be crappy, but what you say here shows that you're so childish.

yes, power corrupts. you are blinkymummy and got a lot of fans, but you don't know you are just as guilty?

you say other people cannot criticise them, but you youself also cannot be criticised. you think your blog is so great that you should be Tomorrowed?

    wake up your idea lah

    lq said...

i seriously have issue with people who act stupid, act blur, and pretend to be on the moral highground all. it irritates the life outta me, which is why i've stopped reading your entries after following it for a couple of weeks.

to begin with, i don't think your entries are that worthy to be tomorrow-ed. they're not that controvertial, and u simply sound like a wannabe rockson. your i-wanna-try-to-be-cheena, or rather chinese (in order to "stand out" from the rest who were from the IJs) irks me as much as those chinese who are potatoes and bananas.

you really really try way toooooo hard

anyway it's a good thing that you got tomorrow-ed this time isn't it? bad press better than no press at all. *winks

p.s, enjoy this new wave of "fame" while you're still on it blinky.

Waaaaaa... I don't get posted on Tomorrow. Waaaaa...

and no, appealling to the "gay votes" even though i'm gay don't work baby. you need more research on that.

so yeah, no sympathy votes from me contrary to what many people think that gay people supports wholeheartedly those who support them.

I agree with Agagooga on all other points though.

i dont agree fully with what u say, but i do agree with some of the rest that Tomorrow is kinda screwed up nowadays. probably since half year back or sthng.

i think their editorial bunch ought to be changed or something, on a fixed monthly basis. otherwise, there are bound to be biasedness. afterall those blogging Zeus' are all human still.

TOMORROW, WAKE UP!! WAKE UPPPPPPPPPP!! ITS TIME TO GIVE EVERYONE A CHANCE!! AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT BIASEDNESS!!!

    Mummy, chill yo.

at the end of the day, the comments here just show that those crying censorship or bias have no idea what freedom of speech mean.

haematoma accuses me of condescension, when I was merely pointing out the facts. If stating facts means being condescending, then whats the point of people even engaging in discussions?

actually, tho agagooga says that once tomorrow'd before, editors unlikely to tomorrow again,i've seen some sites before lei - got repost one.

but anyways, Dear BM, there's not need to seek validation from TOMORROW lah pls. even with the lack of Tomorrow'd entries, u still have ur site-hits, u still got featured in herworld...so what's the big deal? More imptly, why make Tomorrow a big deal???

In MY OPINION, i feel that tho tomorrow is a good way to burn minutes being a blog aggregatorschmatator and all, it's the worse possible thing for private bloggers. They often argue that once it's an ONLINE diary its for the view of everyone, but i find that a lot of pple keep blogs just for their friends and family to read. It's not so much bout being TOMORROW'd, but more of being a "trackback", because somehow a non-editor can add a trackback - and a blog can be put there with or without an author's permission or knowledge. It's the BEST way to sabo ur enemy, man!

isnt it funny how some links just don't work after a while? either the post got deleted, or the entire blog was!

so really BM, it's Tomorrow's not a big deal.I still read ur blog, WITHOUT being directed here by tomorrow!!!!

    Cheers, jo

But you're so hadap wannabe that you're actually quite boring. Don't blame them......

    Anonymous said...

Is it really that important to be tomorrowed?

It is not the obligation of the tomorrow editors to publish every submission.

Personally I think pride and fame has affected you. Perhaps also the XX incident, which made you think that the editors are against you.

then they put backtracks to all kinds of spoiler sites on the tml.sg article regarding his game.

    childish bunch of fools.
