    XMAS 2007

'Good Fren' and I picked up Mooiness from Robert's place at lunch time (okay... maybe quite a little after lunch time... =))) and headed for Holland Village.

Our way there, Mooiness asked if Holland Village was like Bangsar in KL, and we concluded that it was... Just smaller. Parking is just as shitty. =))

Somehow, we ended up having lunch at the Holland Village Market, then covered the entire grounds (includes going into Holland Village Shopping Centre).
We even waved to Jonathan who was working by the window of Next on the 2nd-floor. So cute!

All this must be pretty surreal for Mooiness. It's really a 'village', where people know one another?!

Then we headed for Novena Square 2 coz we wanted to bring Mooiness to try Bread Bar.
But not before a quick car tour of the all-new yuppie Dempsey Hill. The growth rate of Singapore's F&B + Entertainment industry is really quite jaw-dropping.

Finally, we got to Breadbar and bought some youtiaos + soya bean milk. Had a good chat with Daniel and were pretty entertained by the little girls.
It's really not easy running a business.
Something Daniel said struck me rather hard.

"There is always a tension between
    whether I am being stubborn,
or that I simply believe in my way."

After that little heavy session, we sent Mooiness back so that everyone could rest and prepare for Christmas Eve, because Robert had booked a table at Bellini Room for the night.

Hmmm... I haven't been to Bellini for fun before.
(Was there earlier this year on a 'formal' walkabout in the day and brought around by Mr Europa. That was a different experience. No music. No alcohol. No dancing.)

When the lights are dimmed, the music pumps the mind, the body gyrates, and the alcohol lubricates the soul... It's another experience altogether.
(Miss the nicotine and smoke though...)

Mooiness asked if St James was taking loads of business away from Zouk.

The instinctive answer was 'YES', but actually, I really can't say because I haven't been to Zouk/Velvet for months.
The last time I was there, it was filled with 'children'. Or at least... from my perspective lah... Coz I is aged mah! =))

I think St James and Velvet do compete for certain segments of the cheonging crowd. But in general, more people will be tempted to party coz of variety!

    Here are Mooiness and Robert.
They are school buds. Malaysians who migrated to Australia.

Robert is now a 'foreign talent'. He has been working here for a year. And Robert happens to work with one of my exes who's getting married in Jan 08.
    And guess what?
    Robert gets a wedding invite and I don't!! =_=

I guess it's awkward to invite an ex to the wedding. Doesn't go with the theme or something...
    HO HO HO!! JUST JOKING!!!

Or am I?? Heh Heh Heh...
Noo Nee Noo Nee Noo!! =)))

Halfway through the drinks and loud music, 'Good Fren' turned around and purposefully asked whether I had gotten him a XMAS present.
I panicked for a while, and realised that he hadn't gotten me anything either!!
    RRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRR!!!! =_=

And the grinning Mooiness next to us was throwing in statements like,"No spa packages?!"

This is our 3rd XMAS together.
    Quite fast hor?! =)))

    See Mooiness' entry here.
