Of Work & Play

Day 2 at work... We got our hard hats for site visits.

The boys standing at the front door of the office.

They are very shy... Hence, the back view... They are so shy that they were even concerned about their reflection being really visible in the glass?! Paranoid Androids!

I love our orange vests! I think I will wear it while cycling in Cambridge. =))

One of the jobs which our client did. A new-concept McDees...

Looks familiar?

I can't believe #4 (from Washington, D.C.) hasn't seen a McDees with a McCafe before!

Think we have had these in Singapore for a few years now.

Our first two days have been packed. I think this will be our routine for the 3 weeks... (Less the jet lag after a while...)
  • 7am - Meet at lobby
  • 7.15am - Drive out of serviced apartment
  • 7.45am - Arrive at office
  • 8am - Start of site visits, interviews, group discussions etc.
  • Midday - 30-minute lunch
  • After lunch - Continue with site visits, interviews, group discussions etc.
  • Past 5pm - Time to go...
  • Dinner + Group discussion
  • Jet lag takes over...
........................................................................
Day 3 - Last evening, Mr Rohrig invited us over to his very gorgeous mansion for dinner with his wife and some of his staff.

The mansion is located at the top of a hill with an AWESOME (I have 3 North Americans on the team) view of the city skyline.

Standing on the balcony and watching the sun set with a glass of wine in hand has got to be the most invaluable and enjoyable bit of this home.

Dining with a view.

Love how the lamp is conversing with the table.
"We are the same, but different."

Modern and timeless...

I discovered many delightful corners...

Full of (stuffed) animals... wine... movies... and a painting of the mansion.

That familiar Aussie hospitality engulfed me. Makes one feel all warm and fuzzy...

And the spread of fresh meats and vegetables...

I was telling Mr Rohrig that this has got to be the freshest and best meal I've had since I started on the MBA...

In the Swiss words of #3, "Perfect! Perfect! Absolutely Perfect!"

I'll leave you to enjoy the mansion...

And its view...
