I got SS to gimme an executive summary of the AWARE saga that has been hogging my online newspapers for the past few days.
I like the simplicity of this person's response: Form your club lah!
From what I can gather, taking over the existing AWARE makes more 'sense' than starting a new one, simply because of Brand Equity. No need to reinvent the wheel. Just acquire lor! It's a contemporary business-like perspective. And it works... At least in terms of form... No need to build from scratch. You acquire the entity and at the same time wipe out the competition, i.e. the old Exco.
I wonder what will happen if someone convinces a bunch of housewife-aunties from a Tau Pek Kong temple or XYZ market to do the same. I'm sure these aunties are not inferior in terms of numbers and affluence.
