Battle of Digicams
I left my digicam with 'Good Fren' in Cambridge, so that he could use it for his internship, if necessary, while I could buy a new one in Singapore. *evil grin*
So, I am experiencing a bit of dilemma to date. 3 options...
The Nikon P6000

The Canon G10

Or the Lumix LX3?

What say you?

if you're going to get serious and fiddly with your camera, probably the Canon G10.
if you're just pointing and shooting, the Lumix LX3 (and in that case a lot of other lumixes) will do. Though I bet the model name is sorta appealing, eh.
Go for the Olympus E-P1

If you dun mind another alternative, try the Fujifilm FX200EXR...that one will blow you off ur feet..especially the night shots, the colours and wide angle lens.. ;)
G10. Igonore the rest. I use a Nikon D700 now with pro lens. but I been through olympuses, Canons etc. Canon digicams will give you the best all round pictures. They're th emost user friendly too since you seem to be going for serious compacts. They get in your way less so you can take pictures which is the whole point. Fuji FX200er is not that wide anyway and the design is dated. Nikon compacts have quite irritating menus. Oympus optics are so so. If you want the most true to life colour go for the Canon. I went for Nikon dslr caus eit's easier to use and get to the functions I want while travelling and I need it fast.
Ultimately though it's the eye behind the camera that matters. Any camera can make great pics. Just that some models make it easier to get what you desire that's all.
My vote the G10 among the 3
How did your classmates react to the movie I Not Stupid?
Why is no one talking about the P6000?
Canon G10.
though me choice is always Fujifilm. it has the best (natural) color reproduction than most, while Canon is a very close fight to Fuji. all others are balooney to me. LOL
LX3. It has the lowest F stop, i.e. 2.0 throughout its zoom range. Where as for G10, its lowest is 2.8. This means LX3 allows you take pictures indoor at a better image quality than the rest wihout having to use the flash.
LX3.
First its 22mm. means its wide and good for indoor and landscapes.
Second its aperture its 2.0 which means can take shots in low light conditions.
Third, the 1cm macro is amazing.
not saying it don't have flaws but still. its a pretty decent cam. and its only 680. haha.
Try looking out for Oly Pen. It's nice, it's WHITE, it's light. But of course if you have tons of spare cash and wishes to stimulate the economy in the smallest way. I would recommend the following.
1. Nikon D3X
2. 70-200mm f2.8
3. 14-24mm f2.8
4. 50mm f1.8
else can get Sony Alpha 900
haha
LX3 is good for taking photos of yourself, by yourself. :) i like it.
Hi Blinky's mum,
Why dont you compare the cameras at
http://www.dpreview.com
My dad is suggesting a Canon EOS 1000D over G10, since it's about $200 more for the 1000D. And you'll be using a DSLR which definitely has a LONGER lifespan than those 傻瓜相机s.
1 word of advice, do take note of the size of the CMOS, aka the "sensor size".
Please don't flame me, just typing word for word for my dad =)
Of the 3 sets, G10 or LX3.
Out of the given brand choices, Fuji is my choice.
have you chosen your camera?
